A nine-year-old is told to rest. She lasts six minutes. What happens next is one of
the oldest forms of Igbo teaching that exists.

rest — and you discover the sung-tale game Nwaaka Dimkporo, an *abu ifo* tradition
documented across Anambra, Imo and Enugu States, in which a chain of eleven characters
